Green Card in digital format

Starting with January 1, 2025, drivers of vehicles registered in the Republic of Moldova have the opportunity to hold and present external RCA insurance certificates "Green Card" in electronic PDF (digital) format, with the insurance policy stored on any device independent of the operating system used, without the obligation to print the policy on paper.

Important: Starting with January 1, 2025, external RCA insurance certificates "Green Card" are valid both in printed paper format and in electronic PDF (digital) format, and drivers have the right to decide the format of holding the "Green Card" insurance certificate. At the same time, external RCA insurance certificates "Green Card" filled in manually are invalid.

Please note: Even if, starting with January 1, 2025, insurers issue "Green Card" insurance policies as an electronic document in PDF format, without the obligation to print on paper, BNAA recommends subsequently printing and holding the "Green Card" insurance document on paper to provide proof of contracting external RCA insurance in any unforeseen situations that may arise (for example, loss of the electronic device / exhaustion of the electronic device's battery).

These decisions are adopted in the International Insurance System "Green Card" with the aim of facilitating the accessibility and use of international "Green Card" insurance certificates.
